CLUB HISTORY

Aldinga Bay SLSC was founded in 1978 in the emergence of clubs along South Australian beaches and joined established clubs, Henley, Seacliffe, Glenelg, Port Elliot and Moana.

A few of Aldinga Beach locals and the Aldinga Bay Residents Association (ABRA) was instrumental in establishing the club. In the early days the club consisted of a handful of members that patrolled Aldinga Beach and Sellicks Beach. This has now grown to over 260 members in 2019.

2018 was an eventful year for ABSLSC and one that has defined its future. Early in 2018 members were excited to celebrate the clubs 40th anniversary and many of the founding members attended the celebrations in the club that they had built. In July excitement changed to disbelief when the club rooms were devastated by storm damage resulting in its demolition.
